Sixty amps is the practical ceiling for a standard RV converter, and it is usually specified for one of two reasons. Either the coach carries enough 12 volt load to need the headroom, with multiple slides, vent fans and a residential refrigerator, or the battery bank is large enough that a 45 or 55 amp unit would take all day to bring it back up.
