Weight Distribution Hitches

A weight distribution hitch redistributes trailer tongue weight forward onto the tow vehicle's front axle and back onto the trailer axles, rather than letting it all press down behind the rear wheels. That correction restores level ride height, improves steering and braking response, and reduces the sway that makes a trailer feel unsettled at highway speed.

Complete systems range from 600 to 1,600 pounds tongue weight and up to 16,000 pounds gross trailer weight, covering Progress MFG Equal-i-zer, Andersen anti-sway, Blue Ox Track Pro and Sway Pro, and Husky Towing. Most include integrated sway control rather than requiring separate add-on bars.
